It has been reported that leading up to today and throughout the morning it was between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots to retain the services of Darrelle Revis.
Revis was asking for ALOT of guaranteed money and that appears to be the issue with New England. The Jets on the other hand are returning “Revis Island” to New York. The deal is for five-years, $70 million with a whopping $39 million guaranteed. That is a HUGE payday for Revis.
Clearly he went to New England to prove he was still the man and to get a ring. Well he had the ring and now instead of chasing others he is returning to New York to take the money.
Was this a good signing for the Jets in the long term?
