Super Bowl LI Prediction | Seahawks vs. Patriots Rematch?
It seems that the Seahawks have overcame their offensive troubles, and because of that, have become one of the hottest teams in the NFL. Their defense has been spectacular all season but with a game against a poor Arizona defense where they only scored six, and a game against Tampa Bay in which they scored five, it’s easy to see that for a while at least, the offense struggled to score. They got themselves into scoring position multiple times but it seemed as if they couldn’t ever find the end zone.
The Patriots, on the other hand, have had no trouble with the offense, even when they were playing with inexperienced quarterbacks the first four weeks. They lost once without Tom Brady in the lineup and when Brady returned he quickly became a force on the offensive side of the ball, but the Patriots have had one stumble this year, a Sunday night rematch of the classic Super Bowl XLIX.
The game was tightly contested all the way through with seven lead changes and a late drive by New England that almost tied it. On fourth and goal with just seconds left, Brady threw one up to Rob Gronkowski who was being covered by Cam Chancellor. There was a lot of contact going both ways on the play so the refs didn’t call anything. Seattle ended up winning the game at Gillette Stadium, final score 31-24. If this is anyway a preview of what’s to come, we have another superb Super Bowl matchup coming our way. And that dreadful way the last Super Bowl matchup ended between these two teams could very well happen again. The Seattle offense has moved away from the run after losing Marshawn Lynch and has leaned more towards passing the ball. It seems like anytime these two teams are on the field together, it’s an instant classic so let’s hope they can ride their momentum to conference titles.
Super Bowl LI prediction should both teams meet
The Patriots defense isn’t even comparable to the level of the Seahawks defense, and you know what they say, “Defense wins championships.” The New England offense is a bit more efficient than Seattle’s but if Russell Wilson can get on a roll and find receivers, then that will be enough to carry the Seahawks to a Super Bowl win, final score 27-21.
