Just Outside – Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks
Everyone talks about the supporting cast in Seattle and that Russell Wilson does not have to do it all given the Seahawks defense and Marshawn Lynch. However, if you look at the numbers that matter, Wilson has been improving in each of his first three years.
As a rookie, he threw 10 interceptions in 393 attempts yet last year he threw seven in 452 attempts. His passing yards have been steadily climbing up to 3,475 last season. He also kept plays alive with his legs while adding an absolutely impressive 849 yards rushing.
He totaled 26 touchdowns and the Seahawks have added Jimmy Graham as a weapon for the youngster. His numbers should continue to leap forward putting him in the MVP discussion.
