Why This Game Is Important: Greg Schiano will try and right the Bucs sinking ship by moving forward with rookie quarterback Mike Glennon. This isn’t a bad decision based on football ability, but it isn’t sending a great message to the locker room. With another loss this weekend the players may abandon ship and leave Captain Schiano maybe going down with his ship. As for the Cardinals, they have an impressive squad with talent, but find themselves in a very difficult division. The Cardinals have a underrated defense that can pressure the quarterback and make their secondary look really good. On the other side of the ball Carson Palmer adds some stability to the offense. Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd are much happier this season. This could be a much better game than the media is anticipating.
Why This Game Is Not Important: Both of these teams statistically are middle of the road teams, and that’s how they have played through three weeks. Glennon could come in and showcase his arm, or he could be an interception machine and send Schiano deeper into his rage.
Fantasy Players To Watch
Vincent Jackson, WR: Glennon could breathe new life into Jackson’s season, or he could completely destroy his fantasy value. Jackson also hasn’t practiced this week and will most likely be a game time decision. Look for Glennon to use Jackson as his safety blanket if he is healthy enough to play.
Arizona Defense: Rookie quarterback verses a good pass rush and one of the leagues better corners is not usually a good thing. Take your chances with the Cardinals defense this week against Glennon.
Doug Martin, RB: Martin hasn’t been running as well this season. This probably won’t be the game to break that rut. The Cardinals are one of the top teams against the run this season and will look to stop Martin in his tracks.
