San Francisco 49ers vs Atlanta Falcons 3:00 Est
The 49ers have a high impact defense that is stout and focused on stopping the run. Atlanta gains a majority of their yards through the air. Falcon’s quarterback Matt Ryan is leading the way with Tight End Tony Gonzalez as a threat in the red zone, the 49ers will need to be able to stop the Falcons quick scoring ability. Atlanta’s defense will definitely have their hands full with the 49ers quarterback Kaepernick double-threat of the pass and run offense. They also have great rushing with running back Frank Gore who averages 4.7 yards a carry, plus the 49ers averaging 155 yards per game on the ground. The Falcons defense has been exposed previously with the run as recently as last week giving up 20 unanswered points in the second half. If the Falcons want to take the next step they will need to shut down the 49ers ground and pound.
Baltimore Ravens vs New England Patriots
The Raven with Quarterback Joe Flacco are coming from the Mile High city and going right into New England where Patriots Tom Brady will try and slice the Ravens defense apart. The Patriots will be without Tight End Rob Grownkowski but they have been for several weeks prior to his departure last week from a broken arm. The Ravens defense will have to focus on stopping the Patriots from getting the yards after catch. If the Ravens make any turnovers or do not focus on tackling them they will end their run today
