The Pacers fought a gritty game against the Miami Heat. Two crucial turnovers by the Miami Heat in the closing minutes of the first quarter sealed the fate for the Pacers. You have to give credit to Frank Vogel for trusting Roy Hibbert and not benching him in the 4th quarter. On a side note, Pacers guard Lance Stephenson committed multiple turnovers and ill-advised shots that could have cost the Pacers the game; he will definitely have to slow his pace and think more carefully next game.
The Pacers executed offense great at times but their defense deserves the most credit. Roy Hibbert scored a playoff career high 29 points and his interior defense was a huge factor in the Pacers victory. The highlight of the game happened in the 3rd quarter when Paul George dunked on Miami Heats Chris Anderson.

The series will head back to Indiana where I expect the Pacers to win in convincing fashion. The Pacers are undefeated at home in the post-season this year and that streak should not change next game. I expect Lebron James to respond by turning up his defense but of course the Heat will continue to be out-rebounded and outplayed by the Pacers if someone from Miami other than Lebron fails to step up. Looking forward to the next game it will be up to Chris Bosh to be more aggressive and vocal otherwise the Heat will find themselves behind 3-1. Stay tuned for a long series.
