Today Sports Unbiased had a serious NBA debate between two writers, Sammie Wright and J.R. Williams. Sammie Wright stressed his concern regarding the health of Dwayne Wade and the fact that he cannot defensively contain Chicago Bulls guard Nate Robinson, while J.R. Williams believes that Miami will win the series in convincing fashion. Check out the details of the debate and voice your opinion.
Debaters: J.R. WILLIAMS VS SAM WRIGHT
Round 1: Are the Miami Heat in trouble?
J.R. Williams: Absolutely not! The Miami Heat have been on an eight day vacation which tells me that the team is a bit rusty. If you go back and look at the game 1 footage you would realize that the Bulls pounded the Miami Heat in offensive and defensive rebounding. The Bulls have a bit of momentum that will soon die after the Heat obliterate them offensively in game 2 and the last time I checked, the Heat still have the best player on the planet.
SW: I think the Heat are in trouble. If the teams been on an eight day vacation, then I would understand that their shots were off or they were a little out of sync. On the other hand, the Heat should have rested legs and that means they should not be out rebounded (46 Bulls to 32 Heat) or they should able to hustle. I will not give them that!
Round 2: Will Nate Robinson continue to cause problems offensively for the Miami Heat ?
J.R. Williams: No disrespect but, you would have to be crazy if you really believe that the Miami Heat will fail to find an answer for tiny Nate Robinson. Nate Robinson is a hell of a player but at some point he’s going to have to play some defense on the other end of the floor and Norris Cole is more than qualified to defend Nate Robinson. Whats going to happen when its time for Nate Robinson to play defense? His offense will decline dramatically.
SW: Obviously you’re the person both crazy and insane if you believe the Heat stand a chance at winning four straight games against the Bulls. Nate Robinson, I believe, has become a problem for the Heat’s back-court. Robinson was breaking down the Heat’s defense with Ray Allen and Dwayne Wade, then getting into the paint which caused problems for the Heat. Unless Miami’s back-court tightens up the defense, the Bulls have a chance to cause problems in the paint. The Heat better prepare for a long summer vacation because it’s about to be a shocker!
Round 3: Who will win the Miami Heat vs Chicago series and why?
J.R. Williams: I’m taking Miami in 6, this won’t be an easy series against Chicago. TThe Bulls will eventually run out of options offensively and Lebron James will impose his will on the Chicago Bulls.
S.W.: I believe the series will go all the way to 7 with Lebron James leading the way but the Heat will lose the series. I’m going to enjoy seeing the look on your face when the Heat are extinguished. The Bulls are a tougher team and no scouting report will help them grab a rebound, something that they have been horrible at all season.
