The NBA has just suspended J.R. Smith for one game because of an elbow he landed on the jaw of Boston Celtics guard Jason Terry in Game 3 of the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs.
During the fourth quarter in the TD Garden in Boston, J.R. Smith was given a flagrant-2 and ejected from Game 3 of the Knicks versus Celtics series and I expected him to play in Game 4 but it appears he will not be available for the Knicks on 4/28/2012.
This is good news for the Celtics and bad news for the Knicks because Smith has been the spark coming off the bench for the Knicks providing much needed scoring. The Celtics definitely have a chance to come away with a win, however, I believe the Knicks will advance to the next round in five games. The Knicks lead the series 3-0.
