Ben Buchanan – Whiteside was a breakout star in the 2014 NBA season. Whiteside was a candidate for the leagues Most Improved player, he broke on to the scene with his Triple Double against the Chicago Bulls (14 points, 13 rebounds, 12 blocks). Whiteside broke onto the scene and is one of the best stories in the NBA. Whiteside is an elite rebounder and shot blocker, if he can keep up his high level of play this season he could be in the top 10 centers conversation.
Keith Rivas – Did you think there was going to be someone else in my top spot? Not only has Whiteside proven that he can do damage with the rock, but he’s shown that he’s not a one season show. He’s truly ready for the big time, and with Dwyane Wade‘s expertise and Chris Bosh‘s energy still in South Beach, there’s not a reason in the basketball world to leave Miami out of the title conversation.
Sau A. – Whiteside came out of nowhere last season with the injury to Chris Bosh. He was posting huge numbers as the youngster has much potential to develop into a premier center.
Jr. Williams – Last season Whiteside performed like one of the top centers in the NBA, and in only 48 games with the Miami Heat he quickly became one of their best players on the court. With Chris Bosh set to return this season, and Whiteside at the center position, the depth chart for the Miami could make some serious noise in the Eastern Conference. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Heat clinched a No.6 or 7 playoffs spot.
