Sports Unbiased Staff G.F.R. Analysis
Keith Rivas – This guy is a trash-talking playoff magician and just what the doctor ordered to bring back dominant basketball to Lob City. Pierce comes in clutch even when the rest of the team doesn’t — he knows it and he’s not afraid — never afraid, I should say, to speak his mind.
Jr. Williams – The savvy veteran continues to extend his shelf life by performing at the top of his game during clutch situations primarily during the postseason. Paul Pierce has seen his role diminish over the past few seasons and he doesn’t get quite the respect he deserves as a three-point shooter (career .371) yet he still finds a way to be one of the most electric players on the court. At age 37 he appears to be on the tail end of his career, but he’s a proven scorer who demands attention on the defensive end of the floor. The only question is, will he win another NBA title?
Ben Buchanan – At 37 Paul “The Truth” Pierce is still reeking havoc on the NBA. Pierce was arguably the most clutch player all of last seasons playoffs, as he torched the Raptors and the Hawks. Pierce made numerous clutch shots while always giving the Wizards a boost. With that being said, Pierce is just a shell of his old self and doesn’t contribute as much during the regular season. Next year with the Clippers I would expect Pierce to start at the 3, and contribute, however, his presence will be felt more during the playoffs.
