Sports Unbiased Staff G.F.R. Analysis
Ben Buchanan – Antetokounmpo lands on this list because of his potential. Antetokounmpo is only 20, and at 6’11 he’s still growing while playing the small forward position. Giannis’ offense game is a work in progress, but he has been of a different breed on defense. Antetokounmpo had 85 blocks last year which ranks him 1st among SFs. He also racked up 73 steals. Antetokounmpo has so much more room to grow it’s insane.
Antetokounmpo will grow with the young (and lengthy) Bucks such as Khris Middleton, Michael Carter-Williams, Greg Monroe, Jabari Parker, and John Henson. If Antetokounmpo can reach his full potential there’s no limit to what rank he can achieve on this list in a couple of years.
Keith Rivas – Wow that was a mouthful. Antetokounmpo is more than just a victory Scrabble word — he’s one of the Milwaukee Bucks’ keys to immediate success. You have to keep in mind that with a healthy Jabari Parker — emphasis on the “healthy” — Antetokounmpo will be a force to be reckoned with and will be ready to unleash all hell on his opponents.
Playing alongside starstruck talent like Jabari Parker and Greg Monroe will give the “Greek Freak” elite company to grow with. Moving forward with the Bucks, his own individual chemistry is what will determine the extent of success in his career down the road — with the Bucks or not.
Jr. Williams – Defensively speaking Antetokounmpo is the best player in a Milwaukee Bucks uniform and he was a huge reason the Bucks clinched a No.5 seed in the Eastern Conference. He provided scoring (11.5 ppg), lead the team in defensive rebounds per game (5.0 drpg), and ranked second on the team in total rebounds per game (7.0 rpg). This season should be interesting for Antetokounmpo, as Jabari Parker (another SF) is set to return after missing most of the 2014-15 regular season including the postseason. We could see a dip from Antetokounmpo in the overall SF rankings.
