Sports Unbiased Staff G.F.R. Analysis
Keith Rivas – This is the guy you want on your team if you want electric basketball night in and night out. Even if his team were losing by a billion, Green keeps his cool and will drain a three right in front of your girl and not think twice.
Jr. Williams – Green has been one of those players who shows up sometime but not all the time. The Boston Celtics took a gamble on him being one of their marquee players, unfortunately, Green proved to be nothing more than a above average wing player who can score and rebound well enough to keep him in the starting lineup. On the flip-side, when he’s hot he’s hot, and can score from a distance. Last season Green put up big numbers versus some of the better teams in the league ( 35 pts vs Mavericks and 28 vs Wizards) . Overall, I think he’s a solid SF and has found the perfect home in Memphis.
Ben Buchanan – Green is a very talented offensive threat, he can shoot (36 percent from 3 with Memphis last season) he can effectively take it to the hoop, and he’s great at drawing fouls. Green has an all around game but still struggled to find the court with Memphis for part of last season. If Green can sure up his defense it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him putting up big numbers in the starting 5 for Memphis next season.
Summary
Green is a highly durable player who scored solid numbers in all categories, but will he last among the top-20 when the NBA mid-season arrives? Gut Feeling Rating Score (GFR) = 6.6, Efficient SF (Click here for more info on the GFR rating system)
