Sports Unbiased Staff G.F.R. Analysis
Ben Buchanan – Green got a big new deal this off-season. He signed a four year deal worth $40 Million but still he’s somewhat underrated. Green has been starting over Manu Ginobili for the last three years now in San Antonio, and he’s the perfect example of a ‘three and D’ player, and almost the perfect fit in the Greg Popovich system. Green averaged 11.7 ppg last season with the Spurs and he’s a career 42 percent 3-point shooter. At 28 he still has lots of room to grow as the older Spurs start to age.
Jr. Williams – Highly underrated yet appreciated if you’re a Spurs fan, Green is deadly from the arc and shot better than .418 last season — not bad for a player picked 2nd round 46th overall in the 2009 NBA draft. Green comes alive come playoffs time and this season we should see a bigger role from him as he reps as a member of arguably one of the best starting lineups in the NBA.
Sauping R. Arguello – Green is one of the best three-point shooters in the game and also has solid defense that fits perfectly with San Antonio’s system.
Summary
Green represents as the second Spurs player to grace the 2015-16 top shooting guards in the league. He ranked best in defensive ability, clutch factor, and team impact. Gut Feeling Rating Score (GFR) = 7.63, Elite SG (Click here for more info on the GFR rating system)
