Sports Unbiased Staff G.F.R. Analysis
Ben Buchanan – Whenever I think about Wesley Matthews I get quite upset, in March he tore his Achilles tendon which ended his season. This was a contract year for Matthews and he was lighting it up and was set for a big payday. The two-way player who is also a dead eye shooter from 3 (38.7% from 3 in 14′-15′). He’s not just a great shooter but overall he’s a very good scorer (16.4 ppg) and also a great wing defender (1.3 spg in 14′-15′).
Sauping A – Matthews will be coming back from a season ending Achilles injury. He is one of the best two way guards in the league as well as a three-point threat.
Jr. Williams – Matthews would be a flat out stud if he were the No.1 or No.2 option on a team, unfortunately, he had to play behind All-Stars Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge, but he will have the perfect opportunity to shine as a member of the Mavericks. He can score efficiently from virtually any spot on the court and his defense is good enough to limit even the best players in the league. Matthews offers the total package, and I’m not surprised he ranked No.9 on the list.
