Sports Unbiased Staff G.F.R. Analysis
Sauping R. Arguello – Thomas is one of the best scoring point guards who can get hot in a hurry. His attitude has been questioned as he has gotten traded several times in his short career.
Ben Buchanan – Thomas was given up on by Sacramento, then moved by Phoenix so it looks like he finally has a home (and a clear role) with Boston. Thomas is now the clear sixth man with the Celtics, and now that he finally knows his role he can start to settle down and just play. Hes a shifty small PG who is a good shooter. Thomas’ ceiling is far lower because of his size and the fact that he will be a bench player for most of (if not all) the rest of his career.
Jr. Williams – He reminds me of Nate Robinson but with more craftiness and scoring efficiency. Despite his talent as a PG, Thomas jumped around the league a few times, however, he quickly emerged as the best player in a Celtics uniform after only 21 games with the team in 2015-16. He clocked-in about 26 minutes per game last season, yet managed to average 19 points and five assists per game. Can you imagine if he played more than 40 minutes? His numbers would be through the roof. Thomas appears to be a crucial member of the team, and I expect greater success from him this season.
Thomas' clutch factor and team impact should improve after a full season with the Celtics. He's their top scorer and arguably their most valuable player because of his ability to facilitate the basketball.
