The NBA season is just around the corner and the Eastern Conference is once again in shambles as many of the top ranked teams from the previous season have dwindled into the mediocrity that makes up the east. On a positive note, the 2014-2015 NBA season should be another electrifying year for many of the top point guards in the league . You may be surprised to see our prior list of the 2013-2014 Top NBA Point Guards has changed in dramatic fashion. Several players you might have expected to make the top-5 have found themselves ranked lower according to analysis provided by the S.U. writing staff.
NBA staff: Jr. Williams, Arnold Glass, Francesca Toledo, Jared Cortes, and Greg Patuto were asked to provide their list of the 2014-2015 top point guards in the NBA as of right now – here are the results of their selections ranked 10 to 1 ( according to calculated votes ).
Honorable Mentions
11. Jose Calderon – Dallas Mavericks
Francesca Toledo: At 32, he is in the prime of his basketball career, and his skills and smarts on the court make him one of the most efficient shooters in the league. He has also made quite a name for himself as one of the best three-point shooters currently in the game. His defensive game is nothing to write home about, but being a great floor manager makes up for it.
10. Kyle Lowry – Toronto Raptors
Arnold Glass: This is my sleeper pick. I don’t think people paid attention to what Lowry was up to north of the border. Tenth in scoring, third in rebounds, third in three-point attempts, and seventh in assists. Lowry only missed three games which shows his durability. He almost delivers you the total package.

February 23, 2015 at 6:59 ambase on nba stats this season 2014-2015 russell westbrook is the best point guard. he is the # 1 in points, rebounds, steals and 5th – 6th in assists in just 32 minutes of playing (average). while kyrie Irving, chris paul, stephen curry and the others are playing more than 32 minutes.. i love D. rose, kyrie, damian, steph, Chirs paul, D. williams, monte ellis, rondo but for me nothing is more exciting to watch than russ.. I dont care who’s da best point guard coz i love them all but watching russ makes me thrill.. ur always expecting more action to come when he is playing.. specially when he barks, shouting, and staring at you as enemy or fans and when he smiles ofcourse.. just like teenage mutant ninja turtle hahaha

December 20, 2014 at 2:17 pmDamian Lillard only dropped 43 nuggets on the Spurs in San Antonio Friday night and completely dominated the game. He’s only the second highest scoring PG in the league, Fourth in 2 point FG%, Second in 3 point FG%, Fourth leading rebounder. Second in assists to turnovers (among PG’s that actually play more than 10 minutes per game). Nah, he’s not top 5. You people have east coast bias so far up your arses it’s ridiculous. All you idiots who say he takes bad shots? Look at his FG percentages and wake up. Oh and he’s a friggin’ iron man, he’s played in all 27 games the Blazers have played (no other top PG has started all his teams games).

November 15, 2014 at 8:11 pmWhat a bunch of clowns that put this together. Tony Parker is the best PG in the NBA! Ricky Rubio is better than half of these players as well.

September 29, 2014 at 7:41 pmTony Parker is a 4 time NBA champion and no one ever mentions his name and he never gets the credit that he deserves. So if u ask me he’s the best point guard in the NBA. #SpursNation

December 20, 2014 at 2:25 pmParker gets tons of props compared to Damian Lillard who only dropped 43 & 6 on you last night. Parker has been great but he is injury plagued and would not have won all those rings without Duncan, Ginobili, Leonard (last season), Pop, and the list goes on and on. Lillard has only played with one other legitimate all star (Lamarcus Aldridge) in his brief career.
