As the NBA season inches closer and closer to the midway point, many of the teams that were expected to lead their respected conferences have failed to live up their expectation. Surprisingly, several underdog teams have emerged to lead their divisions. Western Conference teams such as the Portland Trailblazers and the Phoenix Suns have shocked many due to their exceptional play and their division leading winning records while several teams in the Eastern Conference such as the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks have dwindled into obscurity.
One of the great aspects about sports is that it is constantly changing and teams get better while others get worse. One day your favorite team is at the top of the standings then all of a sudden they fail to make it onto the post-season. But we continue to predict who we think will make the playoffs, who will be in the NBA finals, and which player will win the MVP because we’re fans of the game and that’s what we love to do. The excitement and energy during the playoffs never fails. Regular season records don’t carry any bearing during the playoffs, its a different atmosphere and energy in the air as players step on the court to decide their fate. Fans thrive off of that energy and we took that same motivation to deliver the 2013 NBA Predictions poll where you have a chance to predict the future!
