The “WWE Universe” came to their feet Friday night as they watched Daniel Bryan destroy The Shield and send The “Hounds of Justice” packing. It all started when Randy Orton set Dean Ambrose up for the “RKO.” Ambrose smartly ducked out of the ring to catch his breath and avoid an onslaught from the Viper. Orton then stalked Ambrose around ringside until The Shield came out of nowhere and attacked him.
Kane and Daniel Bryan rushed to ringside to help a defenseless Orton as The Shield continued their merciless assault on the “Apex Predator.” Daniel Bryan went wild on the Shield with punishing blows to Rollins and Reigns. Bryan then focused his attention on Ambrose nailing him with a lunging drop kick before launching himself at Rollins.
Bryan continued his relentless assault with a dive off the ring apron right at Roman Reigns. The “submission specialist” then launched himself at Ambrose from the top rope for another punishing drop kick. The WWE Universe rallied behind Bryan as he bounced off the ring ropes and launched himself over the top rope and right into Reigns and Rollins. The fans shouted Bryan’s catchphrase of “Yes” while he stood in the ring to celebrate with Orton and Kane.
Bryan’s performance Friday night has only fueled rumors that everyone’s favorite “Goat Man” will be turning heal in the near future. Some fans however might see Friday night’s performance as a way of staying face.
Although some fans are speculating that Bryan will ultimately turn heel. The move would greatly hurt his chances of holding title gold in the near future. Staying face would actually be the better move for Bryan allowing him to challenge for Dolph Ziggler’s World Heavyweight title.
Going heel would only limit Bryan’s chances of ever moving back up into the championship picture. With John Cena in an intense storyline with Ryback, it doesn’t seem like an opportunity will open up anytime soon for Bryan to have a shot at the WWE title. Having Cena versus Daniel Bryan would only benefit Cena and take away from the momentum that Daniel Bryan has built over the past few months.
So the only way to go would be for Daniel Bryan to stay face and challenge Ziggler for his World Heavyweight title. With Ziggler one of the biggest heels in the WWE and Daniel Bryan one of the most liked superstars right now it will be an interesting storyline to watch.
The way I see it, Alberto Del Rio will likely lose in his rematch for the World Heavyweight Title against Ziggler. The loss will set up another number one contender’s match that Daniel Bryan will win. The win will set up a great storyline between Ziggler who is AJ Lee’s current boyfriend and Daniel Bryan her old boyfriend.
Dolph Ziggler and Daniel will have great moments on the microphone, destroying each other verbally and making the fans cheer for more. “Finally at the Money in The Bank” pay per view Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler will steal the show with death defying aerial tactics quick falls and a memorable finish.
After all is said and done Bryan will force Ziggler to tap out to the “No Lock” and become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Having Bryan as World Champion would also help WWE creative get more of their future superstars over with the crowd.
We all know anything can happen at this point in Bryan’s career. He could even turn heel, although I see no immediate benefit from that happening. Even though the views expressed in this article are purely that of speculation I think many fans will agree that this would be a viable storyline for the submission specialist.
