The saga of Batkid began in November 2013 when the city of San Francisco and the Make A Wish Foundation had a day long celebration for Miles Scott, a kindergartner fighting leukemia. People around the globe watched as Batkid and Batman went on a mission to fight crime in the city of San Francisco (which was turned into Gotham City for the day) . For the finale, Batkid saved the San Francisco Giants’ mascot Lou Seal from the Joker. For the entire day everyone was captivated by this little boy and what the city did for him,
Now BATKID IS BACK!! Batkid rolled into AT&T Park in the bat mobile, a completely customized Lamborghini, with his pal Batman to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Giants game.
He took the mound, like a champ, waving to all his cheering fans. Alongside his buddy Batman, Scott tossed the first pitch. It took a couple of bounces but finally made it into the hands of Giants’ pitcher Matt Cain.
The Giants, later, defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-3. Batkid captivated people all over the world and he was certainly good luck for the Giants today. It’s good to have him back fighting crime, tossing baseballs and saving mascots in the city by the bay.
