Carmelo Anthony scored a career high and a franchise high 62 points in the new Madison Square Garden as the Knicks snap a five game losing streak to defeat the Charlotte Bobcats 125-96. The Bobcats are currently holding the 8th playoff seed in the Eastern Conference while the Knicks have suffered embarrassing losses to teams below .500 including a heartbreaking 110-106 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on 1/22.
With his 62 points, Anthony surpasses Kevin Durant’s 54 points for most in the NBA this season. The Knicks look to make it two wins in a row as they will face the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday in Madison Square Garden.
