Miami Heat center Greg Oden returned to the court on Wednesday night after a long hiatus of being away from the game due to several chronic knee injuries which have sidelined him since the 2010 NBA regular season when he was a member of the Portland Trailblazers.
Oden contributed 8 minutes, finishing with six points on 2-for-3 shooting, 2-for-2 from the free throw line, and he pulled-down two rebounds but it wasn’t enough as the Miami Heat suffered 114-97 blowout loss to the Washington Wizards.
If Oden can manage to stay healthy and avoid injury, this could be a huge plus for the Miami Heat. They we’re an undersized team that lacked size but Oden could definitely provide the means to fill such a void. The Miami Heat look to dig themselves out of a three game losing streak Friday when they face a Philadelphia 76ers team at home. The 76ers have won their last game and will look to make it two in a row.
