Bill Haas: In 2013 Haas has made the cut in 12 of 16 events with 10 top-25s, seven top-10s, a third and off course his win at the AT&T National last week. In his last four starts he has a Tie for fourth, tie for second and a win. He finished tied for 33rd here last year and a tie for second in 2011. He is ninth on tour in greens in regulation, 15th in the all-around, 15th in par 4 birdie or better, third in par 4 performance and 21st in total ball striking.
Jordan Spieth: Spieth has made the cut in 10 of 14 events in 2013 with six top-25s, five top-10s and a second place finish. He has finished in the top-10 in two of his last four events including a solo sixth last week. Has never played the Greenbrier Classic before but that should not be a deterrent. He is 13th in total driving, eighth in all-around, 17th in par 4 birdie or better, 27th in scoring and third in total eagles. Jordan has a chance and youngster could play his way to his first victory in his first full year on tour.
Webb Simpson: Webb has made 12 of 16 cuts in 2013 with nine top-25s, four top-10s and a second place finish at the RBC Heritage. His last two starts are a tie for 32nd at the US Open and a tie for fifth at the Travelers Championship. Simpson finished seventh at the Greenbrier Classic in 2012 and ninth in 2011. He is 30th on tour in green in regulation, 15th in birdie average, 16th in scoring average, fourth in bounce back and fifth in round three scoring. Hard to deny his chances this week at The Old White TPC.
Graham DeLaet: He has made the cut in 15 of 18 events in 2013 including 10 top-25s, five top-10s and a third place finish. His last five starts are all top-22 with the last two being a solo third and tie for eighth. He has played the Greenbrier Classic twice finishing tie for 45th in 2010 and tied for 12th last year. Those eight rounds have all been par or better. Graham is 10th in driving distance, 14th in scoring average, 19th in par breakers, second in total driving and first in green in regulation to date in 2013.
Roberto Castro: Made 60% of his cuts in 2013 (12 for 20) with seven top-25s, one top-10 and a second place finish. He finished tied for seventh in 2012 while carding a final round 63 so Castro understands how to shoot a lot score at The Old White TPC. He is 15th in driving accuracy, 20th in total birdies, 13th in scrambling and eighth in par 5 performance. If he can keep his flat stick working and can build on last week’s second place finish he could be a long shot contender this week.
