Chelsea faced competition from clubs such as Manchester United for his signature but Bakayoko had his heart set on joining the Blues. Bakayoko has become Antonio Conte’s top choice for his midfield and the impending deal has raised speculation about the future of in-form midfielder Nemanja Matic.
