The Baltimore Orioles ran away with the American League East in 2014 winning the division by 12 games. In fact, their 96 win season was well clear of the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays who finished with 84 and 83 wins respectively. The defending World Series champion Boston Red Sox could only muster a cellar dwelling 71 win season. Will the same thing happen in 2015? With some big names still on the market and things not completely settled, it is a minor adventure to predict the 2015 finish.
The calendar is not far removed from rolling over, Spring Training has not begun, some trades will still be made, and there will be injuries that affect a team’s forecasted finish as well as their fan bases spirits. However, it is never too early to look at Major League Baseball in 2015 and make some early predictions.
