Every college basketball season, there is always big name players coming out of high school that is a member of big name schools such as Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas, Indiana, or even Michigan State. It is rare to see potentially the best player in the country go to a school that is now struggling to make it into the "Big Dance". When Ben Simmons was getting ready to commit to a university, he was the fourth-ranked high school player. He had narrowed down his list to LSU, Kentucky, Kansas and Duke. His school of choice, LSU Tigers. Almost everyone was surprised about him going to the bayou when he had offers from three of...

Personally, I do not think it is time yet. Curry has only won one title, however, he already holds the top three records for regular season three-pointers made, including a record this current season which is not over yet.  There's no denying Curry is a fantastic shooter, and I'm bold enough to say that he's the greatest shooter to ever touch a basketball. The way he is able to get the ball out of his hands at such a quick rate, consistently, is something to marvel over. I just don't think that it's that difficult to stop him from overtaking a game. When it comes to screens, don't go under and teammates get more efficient at calling...

As of this second, the current estimated jackpot for the Powerball is $1.5 billion, yes that is billion with a “b”. The winner has two options; take the annuity and get the lump sum paid to them yearly for the next 30 years, or take the cash out option and receive significantly less payout amount (but still more than enough for one person). There's also an individual state tax on both payout choices depending where the winner lives. For example, lets take a look at California. If the Powerball winner is a CA resident, there lies the benefit of no state tax withholding on lottery prizes, which means if they select the annuity...

The new bowl season is upon us! With 42 college football games in the next three and a half weeks, how can anyone not be excited?! On the first day, we got to witness five separate games – some more exciting than others. In the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl, Utah defeated Brigham Young 35 to 28, a lot closer than we expected after the first quarter. Utah jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter where all their points were scored off of two pick-sixes. BYU made a run for the rest of the game but couldn’t come back. The Raycom Media Camellia Bowl had a lot of excitement at the end. Ohio lost to Appalachian State as a result of a...

Another season of college basketball is upon us and the excitement in myself cannot be contained! Last year was a great year for college basketball. We saw Kentucky finish the regular season undefeated and carried that zero in the loss column until the Final Four where they lost to Wisconsin. Duke showed the country yet again that Indianapolis is very good to them; they beat Wisconsin in the Championship to claim their second in five years. Wichita State even made a tiny run into the Sweet 16 and going 30-5. This year seems to be the same story as almost every year starts out- Kentucky will win the SEC and have a great tournament,...

The Golden State Warriors have had an incredible run to start off the 2015-2016 NBA season, and no one can deny it. Virtually nothing has changed from their lineup from last year except for the addition of James Michael McAdoo who has seen plenty of playing time, more than anyone expected. Many expected that the Warriors were poised to have the same kind of run they had last year in beating the Cavaliers in six games in the NBA Finals to claim the championship. With that being said, very few people could have predicted that they would have started the season winning the first 24 games. Along with that, during this hot start to the fresh...
