A lot of questions rise after the difficult end to the Atlanta Hawks 2014-2015 season. Atlanta finished with the 1st seed in the East, but could not advance to the NBA Finals. Despite a valiant effort by the top team in the Eastern Conference, they ended up getting swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-0 in the conference finals. Several things went really wrong for ATL, and injuries played a huge part in their last series. It wasn't just for the Hawks though as Cleveland was also going through some health issues during the Conference Finals. The Hawks did end up losing a key player during the series with the Cavs (Kyle Korver), who...

After the tragic news of former MVP Derrick Rose needing surgery for a torn meniscus in his right knee, the future for the Chicago Bulls didn't look very bright. Nikola Mirotić didn't feel this way at all though. The Chicago rookie has really improved his game and is showing that this team isn't done just yet. The 24 year old Spanish rookie Nikola Mirotić has been putting on a show lately. He is coming off of a win against the Charlotte Hornets last night, where he recorded 28 points and 8 rebounds. On top of that, Mirotić was shooting 10/19 from the field. Pretty impressive stats for the rook. Mirotić hasn't shown any sign of...

It was obvious that when LeBron James left the Miami Heat in the 2014 offseason, that the Heat would struggle a bit.  Still, With All-Star players Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, Heat fans still had a good amount of hope that their team would get a high seed in the playoffs. Unfortunately for the Heat, this was not the case, due to both Wade and Bosh going through injuries this season. The Heat are currently tied for 9th seed with the Boston Celtics and fighting for the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference among several other teams. These teams include the current 7th seed Indiana Pacers and the current 8th seed Charlotte Hornets. The...

The Boston Celtics have been having a rough year. In the beginning of the season, this team didn't look like they were playoff contenders, but they have managed to stick around in the playoff conversation and are close to having the 8th seed in the east. The Celtics are currently battling with the Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Hornets, and Miami Heat for one of the last spots in the Eastern Conference playoffs. After point guard Rajon Rondo was traded to the Mavericks, the remainder of the Celtics season looked hopeless, however, before the trade deadline, the Celtics managed to build a team that could possibly get into the playoffs. The...

Stephen Curry is having an unreal season. He has become the best point guard in the NBA currently and the  Warriors have the 1st seed in the wild wild west with a record of 47-12. His team also has the best record at home with a 26-2 record thus far this season. This monstrous season from Curry has made him one of the most popular players in the NBA. Steph had 1,513,324 votes for the All-Star game while the best player in the league, LeBron James, had 1,470,483 votes. Curry is coming off of winning the 3-point contest, during which he hit 14 long range shots in a row. He has established himself as one of the best shooters in the...

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been having a rough season so far. Reigning MVP Kevin Durant has missed his 29th game this season due to his foot injury. so the real question is, will OKC be able to make the playoffs in the wild wild west? Russell Westbrook's game lately is saying that it shouldn't be an issue. Westbrook is having a phenomenal season, he's coming off of winning the 2015 All-Star game MVP and hasn't shown any sign of stopping. Last night against the Nuggets, Westbrook dropped 21 points, a career-high 17 assists, and 8 rebounds. He's currently averaging 26.2 points per game, 7.7 assists per game, and 6.3...

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been off to a rocky start this year. They have encountered several ups and downs in the previous half of this season, but this doesn't necessarily mean that the Cavs aren't championship contenders. In my eyes, they still have a chance to take the east and advance to the finals. It won't be an easy task for them though, as the Cavs have several teams with a shot at making the finals standing in their way. The Cavaliers have been through quite a bit this season and they looked sloppy when All-Star LeBron James missed several games due to an injury. Also, the Cavs lost their center Anderson Varejão for the...
