Day three featured some freak athletes. Clowney lived up to his hype running a 4.53 forty, solidifying his role as the best prospect in this class. Day three had a few nice surprises along with its fair share of disappointments, but at the end of the day it was Matt Millen’s awkward interview with Michael Sam that stole the show. Here is the schedule and more info: Saturday – Special Teams/OL/TE Sunday – QB/RB/WR Monday – DL/LB Tuesday – CB/S Each day of the Combine can be streamed on NFL.com with multiple camera angles for each group. Here’s today’s prospects that improved and bruised their...

Day two is in the books, and the Combine is halfway through. Sunday is usually the most exciting day, but also the longest. The receivers ran exceptionally well in the forty. It was a nice change to see some of the better quarterbacks throw at the Combine. Here is the schedule and more info: Saturday – Special Teams/OL/TE Sunday – QB/RB/WR Monday – DL/LB Tuesday – CB/S Each day of the Combine can be streamed on NFL.com with multiple camera angles for each group.   Quarterbacks Quarterback is a hard position to observe at the Combine. They don’t have any drills that specifically feature them, but are shown...

The activities portion of the NFL Combine have finally begun, and players will begin flying up and down draft boards based off a bunch of numbers. As usual we will see a handful of workout warriors that will improve their stock based on pure athletic ability, but it’s better to just get reassurance on some of these players. Here is the schedule and more info: Saturday - Special Teams/OL/TE Sunday - QB/RB/WR Monday - DL/LB Tuesday - CB/S Each day of the Combine can be streamed on NFL.com with multiple camera angles for multiple groups. Offensive Line This years offensive line class in very talented and athletic, so it’s...

For years there has been speculation surrounding Dan Marino retuning to the Miami Dolphins to fill a prominent role within the organization. Well that is now a better possibility now that he is out of a job. Earlier today CBS released a statement that Marino and fellow analyst Shannon Sharpe are out. “While we welcome Tony (Gonzalez), we want to acknowledge Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe who have contributed greatly to the success of The NFL Today for more than a decade. Dan and Shannon are true Hall of Famers on the field and in front of the camera. As they pursue other professional opportunities, we thank them for their hard work and...

Well that was probably the most disappointing Super Bowl in the past decade. Good news is for all of you that are not Seahawks fans is that everyone is now in offseason mode. The 2014 NFL Draft order is now set (minus coin flips and compensatory picks), and the first big event of the offseason is right around the corner. Everyone is excited about the NFL Scouting Combine, or "Underwear Olympics," in Indianapolis from February 22nd to the 25th. Prospect stock can both skyrocket and free fall during the Combine, and we usually see a little of both on a year to year basis. The best part of the Combine is finding players that were not in the...

Conference Championship weekend is in the books and the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks will be the competing teams in Super Bowl XLVIII. That means thirty of the thirty-two teams are set in their draft order for May (excluding the Cowboys and Ravens that will determine 16 and 17 via coin flip). The three main attractions before the 2014 NFL Draft are the Senior Bowl, NFL Scouting Combine, and individual school Pro Days. The Senior Bowl is this Saturday (1/25), but the practices are already under way. The top senior prospects from across the country are hand selected by former NFL general manager Phil Savage. Usually a lot of the...

A lot of people like this year's quarterback class and feel that it will produce a few franchise guys. A lot of people also liked the 2011 draft class of quarterbacks, but that class hasn't lived up to its expectations. Don't get me wrong, I see at least four quarterbacks being taken in the first round, potentially even five. I, on the other hand, do not see these four to five guys all becoming the players that the general media think they will become. Also don't have a heart attack that Johnny Manziel is ranked #35 on my list. I believe he will be drafted top-5, but I'm not convinced he will translate to the NFL. Wide receiver and...

On Monday and Tuesday of this week the ax came down on two of the Miami Dolphins important team pieces. Monday marked the firing of offensive coordinator Mike Sherman, and Tuesday the Dolphins and Jeff Ireland “parted ways." Miami had a chance to make the playoffs this season and were in control of their own destiny. All that needed to be done was win out. That sounds difficult, but not as much so when it’s only two games and your opponents are a broken down Buffalo Bills team and a New York Jets team that was already eliminated from the playoffs. The Dolphins laid an egg against the Bills in a contest that featured virtually no...

The first thing you are probably thinking is “A mock draft already? Really?…”. First, if you’re thinking that then why did you click on the article/link? Second, I know you secretly love it. Finally, I will not be giving you all a weekly mock. I’ll do a post-regular season, post-Super Bowl, post-Combine, one midway through Pro Days, and finally a three round mock the day before the draft. This is more of a preview for those NFL fans that do not follow college football closely and whose teams have been eliminated for the playoffs. This draft has all the makings at the quarterback position to be reminiscent of the 2011 draft...

Tis the season for crushed playoff hopes in the NFL, and a plethora of bowl games at the college level. Those two things have led to this, the first players' ranking for the NFL draft. Plenty of NFL fans are now looking forward to the NFL draft to see the possibilities of what players will declare and be available for selection in May. A lot of the time you will see top 100 lists for the draft, but I feel as if that is unnecessary at this point. Fans want to see the top players who will be likely to be taken in the first round. 1. Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville | 6’3”, 205 lbs 2. Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina | 6’6”,...
