I have a unique passion for writing about sports. I love debating about anything that deals with the NBA, NFL, or NCAA Basketball. I'm currently a senior in high school and I plan on majoring in Journalism in college.

The Miami Heat have been able to reach the NBA finals three consecutive years and have won the last two championships. They are still a contender in 2014, but teams like the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder have improved their rosters and are looking to dethrone the Heat this year. If the Heat are unable to three-peat this year, LeBron James, the most coveted player in the league, will likely test free agency for a second time. Teams such as the Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers will pursue James and both have youthful rosters blossoming with potential. The Miami Heat are set to have one of the most important...

After failing to make the playoffs two years in a row, the Pittsburgh Steelers will look to rebuild in this year's draft. Traditionally, the Steelers have been able to rebuild and add integral pieces to their team through the draft, prompting them to win six Super Bowl's. However, this draft is one of the most important ones for the Steelers, due in part because Ben Roethlisberger is aging and wants to win another Super Bowl before he retires. All is possible if the Steelers focus on four positional needs in this year's draft: cornerback, defensive tackle, wide receiver, and offensive tackle. In this 2014 NFL Mock Draft, I will project...

Ever since the start of the "weighted" NBA Draft Lottery as we know it today in 1990, we've seen a handful of highly touted players turn into busts. In 2001, Kwame Brown was drafted number one overall by the Washington Wizards straight out of high school. Brown was expected to become the next great center, but has only averaged six points and five rebounds per game for his career. To name a couple more busts picked in the lottery: Hasheem Thabeet (averaging two points and two rebounds for his career), Darko Milicic (averaged six points and four rebounds), Michael Olowokandi (averaged eight points and six rebounds), and Adam Morrison...

Indiana Pacers star forward Paul George is rumored to be caught up in scandal after he allegedly cheated on his girlfriend and fathered a child with a Miami exotic dancer. George is currently dating Callie Rivers, daughter of the current Los Angeles Clippers head coach, Doc Rivers. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg. George reportedly offered the exotic dancer, Daniella, in upwards of one million dollars to abort the unborn child. According to Daniella's Instagram account, she declined the money and decided to keep the baby. More importantly, according to multiple media outlets, this is not the first time Daniella has...

In every NBA Draft there are always a couple of players that escape teams' radars and fall tremendously throughout the draft.  Here are a list of notable active NBA players to go undrafted and have an integral role on a team: Jose Calderon, Jeremy Lin, Wesley Matthews, and Udonis Haslem. Active players to fall to the second round: Marc Gasol (NBA All-Star, NBA DPOY), Rashard Lewis (2x NBA All-Star), Monta Ellis, Carlos Boozer (2x NBA All-Star), and Manu Ginobili (2x NBA All-Star, 3x NBA Champion, NBA Sixth Man of the Year). While it's certainly impossible to guess the type of impact these undrafted and second round players would have...

The 2014 NBA Draft is slowly approaching and many of the top prospects still have time to prove themselves capable of playing on the next level. However, it's never too early for mock drafts! In this latest mock draft, a new name takes the throne for the number one overall pick, and a popular name falls out of the top two. Note: (Ranking order is based on current team records)   1. Milwaukee Bucks: Joel Embiid, C,  Kansas Embiid has proven to be a viable top three pick in the draft. He has all the mental and physical tools to be a Hakeem Olajuwon prototype. Embiid has great footwork for his size and has a 7’5"...

Over the past few years, helmet-to-helmet contact has been taken more seriously. New rules, such as "targeting," are being integrated into college football in order to protect defenseless players. Players that show symptoms of a concussion must come out of the game and follow a list of protocol. Football is known as a "tough guy" sport, but has it gotten out of control? CTE, or chronic traumatic encephalopathy, is a disease that is caused by repetitive head trauma. Individuals with CTE may show symptoms of dementia, such as memory loss, aggression, confusion and depression. These symptoms generally appear years or even...

Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide have dominated college football for the past six years. Saban came to Alabama after an unsuccessful stint with the Miami Dolphins, where he went 15-17 in two seasons. Many saw him as the savior of Alabama football before being hired, and that's exactly what he's done with a record of 76-13, three championships, and the production of 14 first-rounders in the NFL Draft. However, is Saban looking into coaching elsewhere? According to his agent, Jimmy Sexton, the only team Saban would consider leaving for is the University of Texas. This comment undoubtedly brings a lot of confusion to...

It's been a tough year for the Pittsburgh Steelers. After last week's loss to the Oakland Raiders, the Steelers will look to bounce back against the New England Patriots. The Steelers looked pitiful on both sides of the ball against the Raiders. On the first play of the game, they allowed Terrelle Pryor to run for a 93 yard touchdown, which broke an NFL record for longest touchdown run by a quarterback. It also didn't look good on the offensive side as Ben Roethlisberger threw two interceptions, one of off a tip by Antonio Brown. It wasn't a good day for Shaun Suisham either, missing two field goals that would've won them the...

The 2014 Free Agent class is very interesting. Various players are expected to opt-out of their current contracts to receive even bigger contracts. LeBron James, the consensus overall best player in the league, is expected to opt-out and receive a max-deal from any team that choses to pursue him. James' sidekicks Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are also expected to opt-out of their current deals and possibly seek less money in order to bring in more talent. However, the spotlight is on what LeBron James is going to do. Will he stay in Miami, where he was able to win two championships and play with his best friend, Dwyane Wade? Or, will he...
