I just had a conversation with a few GUYS who don’t believe the Wildcats will remain undefeated, meaning they will be “upset” during the NCAA Tournament. Would it be beneficial if the Wildcats were defeated by a team before the Tourney or will they remain undefeated en-route to an NCAA Title?
I have never been one to believe a loss would help them before the tournament. Winning is winning. Its not like they have not been tested this year. They beat Ole Miss in OT the Texas A&M in Double OT and were played close by Georgia, Florida and LSU.
If anything, I would think a loss now to Florida would cost them confidence and would be more likely to lead to them being bounced in the tournament.
I know it is fun and popular to just come out and say”They will lose in the tournament” but they really have not given anyone the reason to think they will. Yeah undefeated seasons in college basketball are rare but each season is independent and in an era of 1 and done, with a stacked team it can happen.
They might lose it all or choke but losing before the tournament will not hurt or help their cause.
