With the latter part of the NBA Season under way, who should be this years MVP? Who deserves to be in the conversation? I believe it’s a 2 man race between Curry and Harden

Harden gets the “clutch” points but Curry is not in as many games late (due to the Warriors success) to show his clutch ability. We know it is in him (see March Madness). Probably between those two right now but I give the edge to Curry.

I would say Steph is going to win but James Harden is having a phenomenal season. I give Curry a slight edge though, only because his team is currently the best in the NBA.

Best team-yes, Best Player in the League from an MVP standpoint? — I think many would disagree.

If you look at what James Harden is doing for his team, in which he’s carried a huge load without the luxury of another star player while leading the league in scoring, you have to give him the nod. Dwight Howard has missed most of the season yet Harden has the Rockets holding down the No.3 spot in the east- only 6 games behind the Warriors. Curry is on a stacked team– he hasn’t proven anything in my opinion– Klay Thompson and Co. makes his job easier.

With Russell’s recent play, I think he has to be in the MVP conversation as well.

I agree with Jeb. Westbrook is currently averaging 26.2 points per game, 7.7 assists per game and 6.3 boards a game. I still believe Curry is in the lead but Westbrook is making a comeup.
My MVP predictions right now:
1. Steph Curry
2. James Harden
3. Russell Westbrook
4. LeBron James
5. Anthony Davis
Thoughts?-

Not a bad list.. Anthony Davis has been in and out of the line-up, so he doesn’t make my top-5. I’ll have my March top-10 MVP Power Rankings up in a few days.. but I like the list.. Harden still No.1 in the MVP race in my opinion. My list..
1. James Harden
2. LeBron James
3. Stephen Curry
4. Russell Westbrook
5. Chris Paul

James Harden is the clear-cut leader in the MVP contest as of right now. He has been consistent in his gameplay and racking up stats on a team battling in the West. Curry is second because his team is playing very well and it’s not mostly because of him.
