In arguably the biggest trade of the NFL off-season (outside of maybe LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso), the New Orleans Saints have trade the best Tight End in football, Jimmy Graham, to the two-time Super Bowl appearing and 2013 champion, Seattle Seahawks.
Russell Wilson will not be able to sleep tonight knowing the weapon he has seen added to his arsenal for next season. A team that has been to two straight Super Bowls and came a yard from repeating as champions is now even better.
After a poor season the Saints are making moves but it is a shock to see them deal the best player at his position, who was already locked in for four-years, $40 million. The Saints get the 31st pick in this years draft and center Max Unger.
Do the Saints know more about the injuries that Graham has received then is public? Or is this something else? Lets hear what you think?
The Seahawks are definitely in the running as Super Bowl contenders. They just gave Wilson ANOTHER offensive weapon to go to that is ideal in the red zone. Just think, if they had Graham in the Super Bowl for that last play…..nevermind. Anyway, this move just increased their chances to run the NFC West, have a spot in next season playoffs and an easier path to make it to the Super Bowl.
