Josh Hamilton is facing a 25 game suspension off his relapse to drug use. Luckily it appears that the suspension will line up with his rehab schedule and he should avoid an more missed time than was already planned from injury rehab. Hamilton’s struggles with alcohol and drug abuse are no secret. In fact, he had been written off as a bust before the Texas Rangers helped him right the ship.
Hamilton had an incredible support system in Texas with teammates that went above and beyond to help him. Heck when they won the AL they celebrated with non-alcoholic refreshments so he could be in the room and avoid temptation.
Hamilton left the Rangers via free-agency to chase the huge contract but since then things have not been the same. Should Hamilton have stayed in Texas with a supportive environment?
