Sauping R. Arguello
The Cavs have as good a chance as the Hawks, Raptors, Bulls and Wizards to make the Eastern Conference finals. Despite the recent struggles and injuries to the above mentioned teams, the playoffs are a totally different animal. Seeding may interchange between the 2-5 seeds but that may have little impact in the Eastern Conference. Matchups become more important as teams get to prepare for an opponent and face them in a best of seven. If this were the Western Conference, a two or three game losing streak may drop you from the second seed to the seventh, eighth seed or possibly even out of the playoff picture. I personally think each of these teams can come out of the east. The Hawks have yet to prove their team ball can be enough to transfer onto the playoffs. The Raptors, Bulls, Cavs and Wizards all matchup well versus each other. If they face one another (which they will), I see the series going 6-7 games with a toss up on the winner. Injuries will be the biggest factor once it’s all said and done. Late April-early May is still two months away. There’s still a lot to be determined within that time frame. I can’t say Cleveland is the favorite to come out of the east…YET.
