Which of these QBs are the worst in the NFL?

Welcome to another edition of Writers’ Block.  For those who don’t know, Writers’ Block is where all the Sports Unbiased Writers are asked to provide their thoughts on a topic every week.

Joining the Writers’ Block this week are JR Williams, Sammie Wright, Adam Solowiei, Rich Stowe, Kureen Paige, Fred Phillips and Kimani Gregoire.

Last week’s topic was about the NFL’s “elite” QBs.  This week we discuss the worst NFL QBs – those QBs who you wonder why they are still starting in the NFL or why they even have a job; the QBs that if you’re a fan of their team leave you angry and frustrated each and every Sunday, Monday or Thursday night from September through December (I would say January but chances are the teams with these QBs will not be in the playoffs).

The writers were asked to name their bottom-3 QBs in the NFL.  It could be starters or backups and they could use whatever criteria they deemed necessary to make their rankings.

Read the rankings and be sure to vote at the end for who you think is the NFL’s worst QB.  Also, please comment and tell us who you voted for, why you picked them and tell us who you think are the bottom-3 QBs in the NFL today.

Some of this was really good, but other parts of it are SO bad it makes me question if some of you have ever seen an NFL game.

Romo may not be a top level QB, but his QB Rating (which is used here to prove why he is so bad) was not only higher than Joe Flacco’s this year, but would only be 2 points away from Flacco’s career high. Could say about the same for Cutler… Neither Romo nor Cutler are top level QB’s, but they have teams in the playoff hunt every year… clearly not the WORST.

As for Tebow… really? First off if you are putting back up QB’s then Brady Quinn (who was the Chiefs starter by the end of the season) was 3rd string last year behind Tebow, so by your logic that makes him worse. Orton was benched for Tebow, so he should be there too. To me it seems like an excuse to bash a guy that was 9-6 as a starting QB hardly the worst in the league….

    I would rank them
5- Stafford (the guy has the best WR in all of football) with Calvin’s number’s Stafford was average at best, without him he’s at or near the bottom of the NFL
4- Sanchez, He may be bad, but the fact that he plays in NY makes that bad seem worse. Try to name a WR that was on that team by the end of the season… seriously, try it!
3- Cassel, his failures in KC should lead people to question how much Tom Brady’s success is from the NE system. Not calling Brady bad, but Cassel is and he was a pro-bowl guy in NE.
2- Quinn, Sad that KC has two on the list, but they both started games this season and both were AWFUL! Quinn complained that he never got his shot in Cleveland or Denver, but when given the chance in KC he put up just 2 TD’s to 9 INT’s
1- (tie)John Skelton and Ryan Lindley… to call anyone worse than these two is a COMPLETE JOKE! These guys have a top 5 WR on their team and managed a combined 2 TD’s to 26 INT’s… that isn’t just bad it is pitiful!

Wow.. you’re defending Romo and he hasn’t been close to the playoffs in years and you’re comparing him to Flacco, a qb who has been to the playoffs in consecutive years. There is no comparison.. Romo is a top shelf bum.. Vick should be on this list too because he can’t read defenses..What nfl are you watching.. you must be Cowboys fan..smh..

What do you mean Romo hasn’t been near the playoffs in years? the last two years The Cowboys have been competing for the NFC East Championship the last game of the season…both seasons. And forget his 4,900 yard year cause only bums throw for that many yards.

No, Cassel was not a pro bowl guy in New England. He made the pro bowl with Kansas City. A great system does indeed help a player, but it cannot put the ball into the receiver’s hands.
