Keys to the Game:

Cincinnati: The Bengals should look to attack the Bills secondary. With guys like A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert, Andy Dalton should be able to pick apart a young secondary that has given up some big plays. On the other side of the ball the defense will have to get after quarterback Thad Lewis. This is Thad’s second career start in the NFL and with some pressure they should be able to force mistakes and turnovers. Turnovers will only make it easier for the Bengals versus a injured Bills squad.

Buffalo: With rookie QB EJ Manuel out for a few weeks it looks like Buffalo is going to have to rely on their rushing attack even more. Buffalo has put up solid rushing numbers versus some of the best run defenses. With a long week to recover I look for C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson to be the focus on game day. They ran the ball 55 times when they played the Baltimore Ravens and I think they could even run the ball more this week.

What to Watch for:

Cincinnati: The Bengals are a very well rounded team and play hard on both sides of the ball. However, I would watch for the Bengals to try to force the run early and often. Buffalo was one of the worst rushing defenses two weeks ago, however, after two good performances they are stepping it up. Look for the Bengals to test how good that run defense is by giving the ball to the running backs Benjarvus Green Ellis and Giovani Bernard. Also, watch for the defense to bring some blitzes early just like they did last week against the New England Patriots.

Buffalo: For the first fives weeks the secondary has been pretty banged up, however, since Buffalo played on Thursday night they have gotten almost a week and a half to recover. There has been talk that Stephon Gilmore, Jairus Byrd and Ron Brooks could all be back this week. This would be a huge help for the secondary and might even help Buffalo slow down A.J. Green. In addition, Buffalo is without EJ Manuel and it looks like Thad Lewis will get the start. Lewis was promoted from the practice squad over backup quarterback Jeff Tuel. Usually that doesn’t happen on most teams, but Buffalo believes Lewis gives them a better shot at winning, I guess we will see on Sunday.

If EJ Manuel were able to play in this game I would say this might be a close one, but Buffalo won’t have much offensive power with Thad Lewis behind center. The Bengals made Tom Brady look bad last week and that’s not good for Buffalo or Lewis. Look for the Bengals to control most of this game and easily walk out of Buffalo with a “W.” Cincinnati 27 Buffalo 16
