Notre Dame’s linebacker Manti Te’o alleged tragedy has been uncovered by deadspin. According to Manti Te’o his girlfriend died in a car accident shortly after the real death of his grandmother this season . Manti Te’o’ said his girlfriend who was, “The love of my life” appears to have never existed and is an apparent hoax. Te’o was on ESPN telling the story and actually came to tears telling it! The details are still unfolding. Why would he say such a thing…to win the Heisman, attention needed or something else?
Notre Dame issued the following statement on their Facebook page
Notre Dame Statement: Manti Te’o
On Dec. 26, Notre Dame coaches were informed by Manti Te’o and his parents that Manti had been the victim of what appears to be a hoax in which someone using the fictitious name Lennay Kekua apparently ingratiated herself with Manti and then conspired with others to lead him to believe she had tragically died of leukemia. The University immediately initiated an investigation to assist Manti and his family in discovering the motive for and nature of this hoax. While the proper authorities will continue to investigate this troubling matter, this appears to be, at a minimum, a sad and very cruel deception to entertain its perpetrators.
I hate to say it but :30 seconds into the video he appears to be untruthful about his “girlfriend”. Is he exposed?
