Update: Click the following to find the NFL 2014/2015 Predictions-Divisions, Playoffs, Super Bowl and Awards

The NFL 2013/2014 season is upon us.  Some teams have already reported to training camp and the rest will do so over the coming weeks.  One of the most fun things to do is to predict who will win each division, who will make the playoffs, who will be in the Super Bowl, and which players will win the MVP, and who will be named Defensive and Offensive Players of the Year.

That was the task of the Sports Unbiased writers this week (and this is part one of a 3-part series so look for the remaining two parts in the coming weeks).  To predict who they think will do just that.  The following writers participated – Rich Stowe, Adam Solowiei, Kimani Gregoire, Chevy Daniels, Wesley Dotson, Mike Fabber, Kureen Paige, Tim Stephenson, Brian Podoll, Derek McVay, Scott Swingle, and Zach Cintron.

Let’s jump right into it and start with which team each writer thinks will win each division.  We’ll start in the AFC and then move on to the NFC.

We will list the teams and who voted for each, then determine the consensus.  There will also be a poll after each so that you can vote as well.

Many writers missed the boat. Seattle never gets respect and they will earn the respect this season by going to the Super Bowl. No one even voted for Seattle to be in the Super Bowl. Yet Denver , up to last year, was a joke for years. Here comes Peyton Manning with a broken neck and wowie! They are going to the Super Bowl! Seattle is a fantastic Team with one of the best offenses in the league. And their defense is vicous and will destroy nearly every team they play against. Seattle has hadThe hunger for years. Now they have the skill and depth of a Super Bowl winner.

I love how my choices for AFC south are Colts, Texans, and other. The Titans WILL be in the mix in the AFC this year. No respect smh ….

  • Mike Thomas

The Colts are severely overrated this year. There’s a better chance of them not even making to the playoffs this year than going the AFC championship game.

  • ron

none of these writers picked either the seahawks or the niners in the superbowl seems like they dont know which teams are better those 2 are 2 of the 4 best teams in the NFC with GB and Atlanta

  • Chris

So not a single writer had Minnesota even making the playoffs, except for Chevy, who thinks they’re going to win the Super Bowl?

  • Robert

The worst thing I have ever read. Teams that one their division get wild card votes and teams that never even made the playoffs are voted to win the sb

    • Rich Stowe

If a team was picked to win the Super Bowl, that writer had them either winning the division or a wild card spot. All teams that were picked as wild cards were not picked to win the division by that writer (though they may have picked as the division winner by a different writer) -- no writer had “missing” or “bad” picks in that sense.
