NCAA Football Conference Predictions and Week 1 Picks: The Tailgater Breakdown

Tailgater_logo3Hey now, everyone… football is finally upon us! We had our first taste of action last night across the country, a healthy slate of games that provided plenty of action, and now it’s time to dive into the heart of the schedule.

This week I’m here with Matt Strobl and John Mitchell to offer our predictions for the champions of each conference and then dive into our first 2013 edition of the weekly picks against the spread. Each week we’ll pick nine marquee games and select our winners against the spread (as set by Yahoo! each Thursday), and each of us will also pick an upset of the week.

Before we dive any further, and realizing how late we are in getting to this part of the preseason predictions, I’ll just go ahead and post our conference-by-conference choices for champions in 2013:
