Sports Unbiased Staff G.F.R. Analysis
Jr. Williams – Monta Ellis is instant offense, he can virtually score at will and can knock down shots from any distance. He’s one of those players with All-star potential, unfortunately, playing in a Western Conference stacked with talent at all positions left him snubbed as an All-Star on several instances. Ellis now joins the Eastern Conference Pacers, a team in need of a high volume scorer and potential side-kick to franchise player Paul George. Offensively Ellis should be huge for the Pacers.
Ben Buchanan – Ellis just signed a 4 year $44 Million dollar deal with the Indiana Pacers in the off-season. Some questioned the fit, as Ellis is a ball dominant shooting guard while the Pacers already have George Hill (a ball handler), Paul George as someone who demands the ball quite a bit and can definitely take it up the floor, not to mention Rodney Stuckey (a very comparable player) and CJ Miles at the 2-guard spot, but I loved the addition. Ellis brings the Pacers a scoring punch they need, he can shoot, drive, and distribute. He should be the perfect fit next to Paul George for the Pacers, and his shooting abilities will definitely help them a ton.
Sauping R. Arguello – Ellis is a volume shooter but he can put up numbers and get to the basket. His inconsistent shooting and questionable defense needs improvement
