Tyson Chandler Returns to the Knicks Lineup

Knicks defensive leader Tyson Chandler returned to the lineup on December 18th after being absent more than six weeks due to a broken right leg. Chandler helped his struggling Knicks team defeat a sub-par Milwaukee Bucks team in double overtime, final score Knicks 107 Bucks 101. The Knicks continue to suffer from player injury issues with Amare Stoudemire becoming the latest casualty to be out due to knee swelling. The Knicks are currently 12th place in the eastern conference, one game behind the struggling Brooklyn Nets.

Brooklyn Nets: Brook Lopez Returns

NetsBrook Lopez returned to the Nets lineup after being sidelined a few games due to a sprained ankle. The Nets faced the Washington Wizards on December 18th, a game in which Lopez didn’t provide much of a spark. The Wizards defeated the Nets 113 – 107. If Lopez can get back on track, the Nets could find themselves winning games. I expect both the Knicks and the Nets to make the 2014 Playoffs but they have to find a sense of urgency.
