The Baltimore Orioles organization and its fan base could not have been happier to see the return of their present and future star, Manny Machado return 19 games ago from a long winter rehabbing last year’s season-ending knee surgery. In fact, over the six games it appeared that Machado was finding his form and was ready to help the Orioles make a run at the American League East and possibly the World Series.
Not so fast, in tonight’s game against the Cleveland Indians, it appears that Machado may have injured his groin. He was pulled from the game in the 11th inning after suffering groin stiffness. However, all is not lost as there has not been an “end of days” announcement about Machado yet. Right now it is day to day but we will be following the story going forward. The Orioles went on to lose 8-7 in 13 innings.
