He was 24 for 31 for 253 yards and two touchdowns. If that wasn’t enough he also had 18 carries for 92 yards. Miracle play after miracle play developed all day as Texas A&M knocked off the nation’s number one. As you watch the highlights there is a play where Johnny Football is stuff, spins, bobbles the ball, gets it back and has the composure to still throw a touchdown. This game propelled the Texas A&M quarterback to the Heisman Trophy becoming the first freshman to ever take home such honors.
