According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter as well as USA Today Sports, Dallas Cowboy Quarterback Tony Romo will be shut down for the remainder of the season due to a back injury. It is an apparent herniated disc in the lumbar region that may require surgery. With Tony Romo on the shelf the Cowboys will turn to veteran Kyle Orton to lead the team in their most important game of the season. The Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night with the winner taking the NFC East title and the loser going home for the year. Kyle Orton has not started a game since the Chiefs season finale in 2011. That is one heck of a way to knock the rust off.
