Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo has been cleared by doctors to return to full practice this month after a suffer a torn right anterior cruciate ligament during the early part of the 2012-2013 NBA regular season. Celtics head coach Brad Stevens added –
“He won’t play in games, is what I’ve been told, until after the first of the year. “I don’t know when that means. It could mean a month from now, it could mean six weeks from now. “Probably doesn’t look like we’re going to see him on the court anytime this month.”
With more injured player comeback news, we could see the return of Indiana Pacers SF Danny Granger as early as December 20th. Granger previous attempt at a return happened on March 3 , but he left the game with knee soreness than has since left him out of the line-up. According to Granger the knee is good and he is looking forward to playing regular season basketball. I don’t expect significant playing minutes from Granger this month and looking forward, he could be on the trading block due to the emergence of Pacers star Paul George.
