Joel Sherman of the New York Post is reporting that the Yankees have made a three year $24 million contract offer to Omar Infante. Obviously an attempt by the Yankees to fill a void left by Robinson Cano leaving to take his mega deal in Seattle. Infante is reportedly looking for a deal in the neighborhood of four years and $40 million dollars. It appears that the Yankees are not willing to go to four years on Infante and if recent memory is true expect them to hold the terms. However, the Yankees are not the alone in the Infante sweepstakes as MLB Daily Dish’s Chris Cotillo is reporting that the Kansas City Royals are also interested in Infante.

Hearing Infante may be close to a decision. #Royals looking like serious possibility, may even be favorite.
