The total opposite of your favorite writer - a military vet with a passion for NBA basketball, hip hop classics, and vintage sneakers. Tech engineer by day, shaping my reality in between. Street dreams are made of these....everybody's looking for something.

Author's Articles:

Craig Sager , the man known for his fashionable yet questionable wardrobe during interviews will not only be remembered for his attire, but also for his many interactions with NBA great Kevin Garnett. The interviews are particularly special because Sager would play the gentle host while Garnett would deliver short but funny jabs at Sagers attire. Sager was always a great sport during the interviews and on some occasions he even roasted back. This collage of videos are dedicated to Craig Sager -- one of the most colorful and respected sports personalities the league has even seen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltpqPd3t5V0 After...

Note - I purposely spelled respect wrong in the title. Some of you may get it, some of you won't. As you scour the search engines for information related to DeMarcus Cousins, you'd be hard pressed not to find articles headlined with talk of potential trades. Several online sources (mostly rumors) have hinted at the possibility of Cousins joining forces with John Wall in the Nations Capital, and while I think the two would make a formidable two-headed monster, there's a high probability the Wizards would at a minimum have to offer up Bradley Beal in return. As efficient as both players are offensively, I'm not prepared to say that this...

I pride myself as being a very observant person who occasionally has the foresight to predict certain events before it happens, therefore, it is with the utmost confidence that I predict Rajon Rondo is one team away from being a backup point guard. We predicted his demise under Celtics coach Brad Stevens, and although he ranked among our top pure point guards in 2015, he was the only player on said list to be apart of a team that did not advance to the NBA playoffs. I'll give Rondo the benefit of the doubt as the Kings are in a tough Western Conference, however, he participated in 72 games and contributed to disappointing 33-49 record...

LeBron James vs Michael Jordan: Who's Better? - Revised (These were my initial thoughts when this article was published back in 2013 ) You can't deny that LeBron James is one of the top-3 players in the NBA but to compare him to Jordan at this point of his career is insane. A better debate would be asking who would win in a 1-on-1 match-up. LeBron James stands at 6'8 and weighs 250 pounds, he has a much larger frame than Jordan, and is said to be capable of playing all five positions. LeBron is also a very powerful player who has become an even bigger threat in the post area, all credit should go to Hakeem Olajuwon for helping LeBron...

We have reached the second half of the season where a list of elite players are making their final campaigns for the 2016 MVP. 2015 MVP Stephen Curry continues to prove why he's one of the greatest shooters of all-time, as he looks to raise his second MVP award while pursuing his second consecutive NBA title. Russell Westbrook continues to make his case for the MVP, while newcomers Damian Lillard and Isaiah Thomas look to move up a few spots. In the end there can be only one victor. One player will rise above all to become the face of the league. Who will it be? 2016 MVP Race - And the Winner is? #10. Anthony Davis - New...

Throughout the history of the league, the NBA has celebrated the best players/performers of the game through countless awards and accolades, but what about the players who play the game on the edge night after night, guys who never back down from a challenge, and have your back no matter what happens on the court? I'm talking about an NBA player who would go "H.A.M" at the drop of a dime, the worst of the worst attitudes on the court. Such players could easily work side jobs as bullies-for-hire, and would easily force you to walk on the other side of the street, or perhaps even utilize your body as a human punching bag. I refer to this...

Once again, poor attention to detail and a lack of understanding of the basketball culture has resulted in a writer putting his foot in his mouth when someone should put it up his a** for misinterpreting Sam Mitchell's comment where he kidding stated he hated Kobe Bryant. Fact of the matter is, Mitchell made the comment in a joking fashion. Keep in mind, several years ago Kobe torched his then Toronto Raptors team for 81 points -- the second highest single scoring performance in NBA history.  Wilt Chamberlain holds the record with 100, and Kobe is the ONLY player to come even remotely close. Kobe's latest performance was a 38 point win...

In his prime, Lamar Odom was a highly talented basketball player who flourished as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won multiple NBA championships alongside Kobe Bryant. Odom's NBA career spiraled downward after he parted ways with the Lakers during the 2010-11 NBA season. He had a brief stint with the Dallas Mavericks in 2012, where he played 50 games and averaged 6.6 ppg. He then joined the Clippers in 2012-13 and played in all 82 games while averaging 4.0 points per game, and that was the last time he played for a professional basketball team. Personal issues with his family, a friend dyeing from a flesh eating...
