In one of the biggest free-agent acquisitions so far, running back DeMarco Murray is leaving the Dallas Cowboys for their division rival Philadelphia Eagles. Murray is coming off the best fantasy football season of his career last year. In 2014, he scored 361 points and finished as the number two running back, behind the Pittsburgh Steelers Le’Veon Bell who scored 371 points. He set career highs in rushing yards with 1,845, touchdowns with 13, receptions with 57, and receiving yards with 416. Unable to reach an agreement with the Cowboys he became a free agent when the 2015 NFL off-season started on March 10th. It took a few days,...

The fantasy baseball season is right around the corner but I am already looking forward to the 2015 fantasy football season. Below, are my 2015 "very early" fantasy football tight end rankings. With free-agent signings, trades, the NFL draft, and injuries, many things can change over the next few months. For this reason, leading up to the start of the 2015 football season I will release numerous updates. My rankings are based on a 12-team league using a points-per-reception scoring system. Passing yards are worth one point for every 25 yards, rushing and receiving yards are worth one point for every 10 yards, receptions are worth...

This season is going by too fast, week six is already here! Some players are exceeding expectations and rewarding their owners with a lot of wins.  Then there are the players that are killing their fantasy teams. Here are some players you can take a chance on this week and a few who might be best sitting on your bench. Start This Week The players I suggest you consider starting this week are started in less than 50 percent of the leagues on MyFantasyLeague.com, but have favorable match-ups, are filling in for injured starters, or I believe are poised to have a break-out game. I would never sit my studs, but if you are looking to fill a...

Many fantasy football experts will tell you to use caution when drafting rookies in your fantasy football draft. Some rookies will no doubt pay off, like Eddie Lacy of the Green Bay Packers and Giovani Bernard of the Cincinnati Bengals, who were ranked by many as the number one and number two rookie running backs in fantasy football last preseason. They finished the season the same way, with Lacy as the seventh ranked running back and Bernard as the 13th ranked running back. On the other hand, Kenbrell  Thompkins of the New England Patriots, was often times the first rookie wide receiver drafted last year, but failed to meet expectations. ...

For most of the Cleveland Browns game, Bobby Rainey was making me look like a fool for suggesting to start him. He made up for it late in the game in garbage time, ending the game with 18 touches (including seven receptions) for 105 yards, scoring 13.5 points.  If it wasn’t for the 2 fumbles, which in most leagues cost him points, he would have finished in the top 10 for running backs in my league. My best "start" call was Dwayne Allen who finished as the sixth ranked tight end. Week Three Start Grades Joe Flacco (13.28) – F Jonathan Stewart (8.00) – D Bobby Rainey (13.50) – B- Torrey Smith (4.50) – F Justin Hunter...

Week two was a rough week for many fantasy owners, it seemed every time you looked there was another player going down with an injury. Likewise it was a rough week for my players I recommended starting last week (2014 NFL Fantasy Football Week 2 Start and Sit).  I’ll give myself credit for one good call on the start side with Terrance West (pictured above), he scored 17.00 points and was the 13th ranked running back in my fantasy league.  I did a better job on my sit recommendations, Matthew Stafford only scored 16.44 points and Jamaal Charles only scored 3.20 points before he injured his ankle. Week Two Start Grades Jake Locker...

Looking back at my week one start and sit article (2014 NFL Fantasy Football: Week Start Sit), I made a few good calls, and a few bad calls. If you started Carson Palmer (25.06 points) or Mark Ingram (19.10 points), or benched Doug Martin (2.60 points), it paid off. Here is how I grade my picks from last week: Start Carson Palmer (25.06 points) - A Mark Ingram (19.10 points) - A- Stevan Ridley (4.80 points) - F Terrance Williams (15.00 points) - C- Doug Baldwin (4.40 points) - F Travis Kelce (7.90 points) - F Sit Jay Cutler (21.96 points) - F Doug Martin (2.60 points) - A+ Percy Harvin (17.00 points) -...

It seemed like it took forever for the 2014 National Football League to arrive, but once it did, it did not disappoint. Two overtime games in Atlanta and Chicago, a nail biter in Pittsburgh, an upset in Miami, a blowout in Detroit, and a nail biter in Phoenix, just to name a few. With week one in the books, it’s time to look back at the top players of the week. If you had any one of the players highlighted here in your lineup, there is a good chance you started your season with a win. Fantasy Football Player of the Week Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta Falcons (37.42 points) Ryan threw for a franchise record 448 yards and added three...

The week many of us have been waiting for is finally here. The NFL draft, organized team activities, training camps, and pre-season games are all done. Fantasy football players have studied all the prior stats, projected stats, depth charts, and player rankings and then drafted their teams. Now the real fun begins! The regular season kicks off in less than 24 hours. Start This Week The players I suggest to start this week are started in less than 50% of the leagues on MyFantasyLeague.com, but have favorable match-ups or I believe are poised to break out. Carson Palmer (Pictured Above), Arizona Cardinals vs. San Diego Chargers...
